Palmaria Island on foot

Description: Palmaria island, declared UNESCO World Heritage Site, is with no doubts, one the preferred visit of the naturalistic hikers.

Noteworthy are the Mediterranean vegetation and the enchanting landscape. It is possible to visit the abandoned caves of Portoro and the Colombi cave (for the boldest) Packed lunch or in one of the two island seafood restaurants.

Meeting point: from Camping River one reaches Bocca di Magra boats embarkation (1h navigation). There are departures from La Spezia wharf (35m navigation) and from Portovenere (5m navigation) if one has the bus for transfers.

Excursion time: all day: return at about 6.00 pm ( 4h walking)
