Montemarcello and Botanic Garden

Description: from Camping River one goes to Bocca di Magra (0 m slm) and follows the track"Alta Via del Golfo" for Montemarcello (284 m slm); walks along mule track between olives trees and Mediterranean vegetation. Once cleared the spectacular Gruzza cliffs (275 m slm) one reaches Zanego (247 m slm) and continues in direction of the Botanic garden of M.te Murlo (362 m slm). Lunch on the Botanic Garden benches.

In the afternoon return to Bocca di Magra via Foce di Lizzano (210 m slm).

Meeting point: small park in front of Bocca di Magra boats embarkation at 8.45 am.

Excursion time: all day (4h 30 walk, with the chance to stop the excursion at Montemarcello on the way back, if the us is bus available).
